如何鑑別人工栽培粉光蔘及野生粉光蔘
粉光蔘主產於美國及加拿大，主要種類可分為：人工種植粉光蔘、移種野蔘 ( 半野生 )與正野山粉光蔘。人工栽培粉光蔘其蔘面較平滑，其蔘齡約在四、五年，因年數少故能算其蔘齡之蘆頭較不顯著，質量較重，味較苦。而野蔘 一般均在十年以上，大部份之野蔘上端有蘆頭可數算蔘齡，但也有在運送途中斷去，故未能算出其蔘齡，其蔘面橫紋較細密而顯著，質量較輕，故相同規格的粉光蔘，野蔘一斤的支數約人工栽培的二倍，其味較甘。移種野蔘其性質屬於二者之間，其味較人工栽培粉光蔘強而遜於野生粉光蔘。一般在台灣將人工栽培粉光蔘，長形的叫吧蔘或移種蔘，而短形 ( 圓形 ) 叫粉光蔘，在台灣市面上銷售的 95% 以上均為人工栽培粉光蔘。世界上最貴的野山蔘為長白山出產的野蔘，其價格每公斤為美金 10 萬元以上，而美國野生粉光蔘每磅 (12 兩 ) 約美金 200~600 元，質地輕，功能遠在各種紅蔘之上；而人工栽培粉光蔘質地雖然較重，據研究其成分則與野山粉光蔘接近，而價錢則相差數倍到數十倍之多。(所有人蔘出土後均為白蔘，紅蔘一般是由白蔘再經蒸煮加工而成)

美洲大陸與大陸產粉光蔘如何區別 

中國大陸人蔘，其學名均為 Panax Ginseng Asiatic ，而生長在美洲大陸的粉光蔘 ( 西洋蔘 ) 其學名為 Panax Quinguefaliam 。美洲大陸的粉光蔘藥材之所以與其他地方所產藥材品質不同，原因在於土質、氣候、栽種技術的不一樣，所產出的藥材當然不同。在外表上看起來也許很類似，但只要下刀或一入口就有截然不同的感覺，例如威州的粉光蔘比較不會黏刀，其次是加拿大多倫多，在口感上，威斯康辛及多倫多味道濃郁，苦中帶甘，吃後喉韻的甘度久久還在；大陸粉光蔘味道較淡，帶有白干味，吃後甚至喉韻有些咬喉的感覺。

粉光蔘的栽培法

人工種植粉光蔘係由人工種植在農場上，並立木柱再用木板訂成木片木條或用塑膠網，遮蓋 75% 的陽光來作人工遮蔭，並加人工除草、殺蟲等經 4~5 年細心栽培而成，該種植粉光蔘之土地，收成後，便不能再種粉光蔘了。

移種野蔘係人工種植在樹林中，或由小野蔘移植到深山樹林中在天然的遮蔭下，與野山蔘同樣的環境栽培而成，故又稱半野蔘。

正野山粉光蔘係完全野生於深山樹林裡，無人照顧，因不斷地為人挖掘，近已瀕臨絕跡之慮。

粉光蔘的特別效能

據研究報告，粉光蔘的功效是累積的，所以須要連續服用一段期間 (15~30 天 ) 其效果才會顯著，服用粉光蔘最好不要一曝十寒，連續服用數月，會比斷斷續續地用上一年或數年的功效要好。粉光蔘係挖取之後，洗淨直接烘乾而成的乾人蔘，是沒有經過任何加工製造的純天然人蔘，所以成分不被破壞。蔘類皆含有數種人蔘皂帶，而粉光蔘種植足四年即有 11~13 種人蔘皂帶，其所含成份遠在各種紅蔘之上。粉光蔘是一種溫馴的補品，其效力是純而漸進的，它對人體有保養勝於治療的作用，所以在美國被視為極珍貴的健康食品，其最神奇的功效是能調整人體各種賀爾蒙內分泌的正常，粉光蔘對身體的功用，就猶如一部機器，需要上潤滑油保養一樣，機身潤滑，各部機能便能夠協調，種種疾病自然慢慢消失，或不致於發生，此則粉光蔘的特異功能。

國際醫藥學家，對人蔘的研究相當積極，一位德國科學家研究發現，在食用粉光蔘 12 星期之後，有 74.4% 食用者，兩手間的協調操作，會有顯著的改善；一位保加利亞研究者報導說，粉光蔘能增進記憶力；英國科學家則致力於腦細胞老化問題的研究，發現只有人蔘能使腦細胞現出新活力 ( 復原的作用 ) ，英國的Dr. Steven Fulder以護士為對象，做工作效率的研究，發現服用粉光蔘一段時間後其工作效率提高 15% ，錯誤率則減少一半，在耐力方面，以老鼠在水中做實驗，食用粉光蔘組，平均活 6 分鐘，未食粉光蔘組平均只活 3 分鐘 ； 俄羅斯和日本的研究則發現粉光蔘，能刺激胰島素的分泌，有助於糖尿病的治療；中國大陸方面發現人蔘能抵抗自由基，抗氧化抗老化，正用人蔘來對抗癌症 。 根據美國人蔘研究單位最近從藥物學及臨床研究上發現具體有力的證據，認為人蔘對胃腸疾病、胃腸虛弱有治療與增強的作用，對高低血壓有平衡的作用，增進免疫功能，防止血管硬化、心臟病、減緩老化皆有奇效，對壓迫性潰瘍更具治療功能。

美國粉光蔘的適應範圍

小孩常易患感冒、咳嗽其原因為氣管較弱，抵抗力不足，如能經常食用粉光蔘，則能健全氣管、肺及脾胃的功能，小孩的抵抗力自然增強。同時對於成長中小孩骨骼的健全有莫大的助益。

粉光蔘大補元氣，所以一般因工作過度勞神、勞力，體力不繼，則應補虛、療損，粉光蔘最適宜，又如經常需要加班、熬夜的朋友，一杯粉光蔘代茶，使您有源源不斷的活力。

青少年學生，因課業繁重，升學壓力緊張，患得患失，有神經衰弱傾向者，服用粉光蔘，精神的安定效果很強，可強化頭腦之思考力及增強記憶力。

粉光蔘對下列症狀如健康狀態不良，食慾不振發育不健全，體力衰退，元氣不足，心臟衰弱，季節性身體不適，精力衰弱，手術後虛弱，神經衰弱，貧血和手足發冷，妊娠中及產後虛弱，風濕病及糖尿病，五勞七傷，解酒養顏等皆有很好的效果。

粉光蔘的使用方法

使用量：年齡在 15 歲以下每星期 2 錢，年齡在 30 歲以下每星期 3 錢，年齡在 30 歲以上每星期 4 錢，年齡在 50 歲以上每星期 5 錢，照上述份量，每星期分 2~3 次服用最為適宜，但服食份量仍須照個人體質及身體接受程度，略為增減。為使人蔘發揮其獨特功效，食後應戒食蘿蔔、芥菜等，同時凡患感冒發燒、中暑、痢疾、斑疹等病暫不宜服用。

燉服：人蔘切薄片，放入瓷杯內，加滿水 ( 約 2~3 碗 ) ，加蓋密封，放入電鍋或蒸鍋內燉 1~2 小
            時，即可服用人蔘汁及人蔘。  
嚼食：以 2 、 3 片人蔘含於口中內細嚼為簡單法。
磨粉：將人蔘磨為細粉，每日吞服，份量視個別體質而定，但每天約服 1~3 克即已足夠，或每
           次 1 克，早晚各一次。餵食牛奶小孩，可早晚各一次，每次 0.5 克，直接加入牛奶中。
沖泡：將人蔘片或粉末放入杯中，用滾水沖入，加蓋約 5 分鐘即可飲用，可以同樣方法重複沖服
           至沒有蔘味為止，一般學生或上班者，此法最合適。
燉煮食品：如燉雞、排骨、素雞等，除滋補強身，更美味可口。 

保存方法：請密封存放於冰箱，並防潮濕。
